Swim Team - Age Groups & Prices


AGE GROUP DESCRIPTIONS



SENIORS
 - ages 13 & up; practice 10 hours/week

Seniors is our practice Group for motivated swimmers ages 13 & up who are focused on skill refinement and competing at the highest possible USA Swimming levels. Training includes aerobic and anaerobic threshold training, as well as regular stretching and dryland training. Swimmers are required to have coach approval to join Seniors.

TRANS-SENIORS - ages 12-14; practice 10 hours/week

New Group for the 2017-2018 Season! Trans-Seniors is our transitional practice Group for motivated swimmers ages 12-14 who are working toward joining our Seniors Group. Trans-Seniors focuses on skill refinement and competing at the highest possible USA Swimming levels. Training includes aerobic and anaerobic threshold training, as well as regular stretching and dryland training. Swimmers are required to have coach approval to join Trans-Seniors.

CYCLONES 1 - ages 11-12; practice 7.5 hours/week

Cyclones 1 is our top junior training Group of competitive swimmers that serves 11- and 12-year-olds who are exploring their swimming potential and preparing for high school or Seniors-level swimming. Cyclones 1 is designed to develop focus, proper stroke technique, and strong, consistent training habits, as well as introduce swimmers to training and competition through regular USA Swimming meet experiences. Swimmers should be able to swim all 4 strokes legally

 
CYCLONES 2 - ages 9-12; practice 7.5 hours/week       

Cyclones 2 is our junior training Group that serves mainly competitive swimmers, ages 9-12, who are ready to explore their swimming potential and prepare for high school or Seniors-level swimming. Cyclones 2 is designed to develop focus, proper stroke technique, and strong, consistent training habits, as well as introduce swimmers to training and competition goals through regular USA Swimming meet experiences. Swimmers should be able to swim all 4 strokes legally


RIP TIDES 1
 
ages 9-12; practice 4.5 hours/week       

Rip Tides 1 is for intermediate 9- to 12-year-olds who are competitive in USA Swimming meets. Swimmers must be able to swim all 4 strokes legally and be comfortable in competition to enter Rip Tides 1. Stroke mechanics and race preparation are the aims of this Group. These are achieved by focusing on mastering the 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes


RIP TIDES 2 
- ages 9-12; practice 2 hours/week

Rip Tides 2 is for novice 9- to 12-year-olds who are able to swim 2 legal strokes. This Group aims to teach stroke mechanics and race preparation by focusing on mastering the 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes.

WHITE CAPS 1 ages 6-9; practice 3 hours/week

White Caps 1 is our top mini training Group of competitive swimmers. It is designed for younger swimmers who are seeking to gain skill mastery, have varied competitive experiences, and participate in team-building activities. Swimmers must be able to swim all 4 strokes and be comfortable in competition to enter this group. White Caps 1 aims to teach stroke mechanics and race preparation by focusing on mastering the 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes

WHITE CAPS 2 ages 6-9; practice 2 hours/week

White Caps 2 is designed for younger swimmers who are seeking to gain skill mastery, have varied competitive experiences, and participate in team-building activities. Swimmers must be able to swim 2 legal strokes and be comfortable in competition to enter this group. White Caps 2 aims to teach stroke mechanics and race preparation by focusing on mastering the 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes


WATER SPOUTS 1 & 2 - Developmental Swim Team 
- ages 4-8; practice 1.5 hours/week 

These nurturing introductory Groups focus on the development of sound stroke mechanics. Water Spouts 1 & 2 are for swimmers who are looking for a year-round program to help develop the basic strokes needed to become a competitive swimmer. Swimmers should not have fear of the water and should be able to complete multiple laps (while wearing fins) doing basic freestyle motion. No instructor is in the water; so if your child cannot swim multiple laps on his/her own, then please see the information on Tide Water Swim School, our Lesson Program.

DROP-IN SWIMMING

Currently, we're NOT offering Drop-In swimming for any Group other than Seniors. We may open Drop-In during Spring Warm-Ups (April-May 2018).

 

2017-2018 SEASON TEAM PRICES:


Swim Team members must pay a one-time yearly Membership (Registration) Fee, as well as monthly Team Dues
Competitive swimmers will also be responsible for Meet Fees.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

  • COMPETITIVE Swimmers - "Year Round Membership" (full Season) = $130/year

  • NONCOMPETITIVE Swimmers - "Season 1 Membership" (full Season) = $35/year

  • SPRING WARM-UPS Swimmers - (April-May only) = $35/year


TEAM DUES

 
Full-Season swimming is listed as a per-month price for each Group; whereas, Spring Warm-Ups swimmers must pay in-full.
